From Christian American author, Samantha C Sinclair, continue to learn Lilly’s story. What happens next?

Lilly felt like dying. How could she ever get through. Her parents, her siblings, and the rest of the family. How would they treat her? As quickly as the thought hit her, she vanished it. God would carry her through all this. Her family would walk by her side, every step. What if she was pregnant? Her head ached where he had drug her by the hair. Her swollen face was a testament to her trauma. She jumped when he pulled into a driveway. She was all to happy to obey when he told her not to follow him inside. Instead, the moment he was inside, she made a brake for the trees.
Lilly ran, and ran some more. But, was she only running in a circle? She grabbed her cellphone praying for a signal. To her delight, God blessed her with one. In minutes, her Dad had local police and EMS on the way. Her parents were calling Aunt Nancy, and heading her way.
Nancy was a long time family friend, who had quickly became an adopted aunt. Nancy had also been kidnapped herself recently, and had a nightmarish experience in high school. Working with victims of crimes like this served her and the community well. Lilly wanted her visually impaired adopted aunt on her side any given day. Kortnie too. Her friend had been through the unthinkable, twice by the same man.
Lilly allowed a female officer to hug her, and take her statement. She was put in the back of a police car, for safety.
Her parents, and Aunt Nancy’s, arms never felt so good around her.
“Mom, I can’t do college anymore.”
“That’s fine,” her Dad whispered.
“You don’t have too Baby,” her Mother smoothed her hand through Lilly’s disheveled beautiful hair.
“Sissy,” her adopted aunt held her close, “I’m here anytime you want to talk.”
Lilly knew, but it was sweet to hear.
