The heart behind the story

I have special friends who inspired the story of Emily. My good friends, Lars and Trish, have a daughter who battles TSC.

What is TSC?

Lord willing, don’t miss my sister’s blog post coming up Thursday to answer this question.

Who is Emily and Versie Gail?

First, this story is fictional. You can read it in print, or listen in audio. Grab your copy where ever you pick up your next read.

Emily was just a newborn on that snowy night. She was an abandoned at the local 911 center, where Dispatcher Versie Gail fell in love with her. After months of prayer and adoption process, Versie brought baby Emily home.

Not everyone was supportive. Who will change their minds, and who will not?e

Five years later, and a determined detective.

The first five years of Emily’s life were filled with prayer and love. The diagnosis came shortly after Versie brought Emily home. TSC.

Emily could not talk. So, at age five, how did she lead them to her mother’s killer? Find out in The Call For Emily.

Gabe the detective.

In process of writing this book, I knew there would be plenty of twists and turns.

I did not know it was going to be a Christian Fiction Suspense, until God told me in the middle of writing it. I love that. Really, I love God being my boss. It is incredible.

When my good friend, and a local retired police officer, passed away from a long illness, I knew I had to do something to honor Tony. With much prayer, and permission and story telling from family, I knew this book and detective was going to be in loving of Tony. I pray each time his family, friends, and coworkers see these pages, they get a glimpse of 727, Tony King. Forever loved and missed.
