What TV shows did you watch as a kid?

I liked several shows as a kid. Let me name a few. Then I’ll share something personal at the end.

I liked Mr. Rodger’s Neighborhood, JJ The Jet Plane, and other things like those. I also enjoyed 7th Heaven, Walker Texas Ranger, and Gilmore Girls.

Quite a range right?

I also liked the show Cops, and any show about delivering babies.

Don’t most girls have an intrest in playing house and doctor, including this topic?

While some parents do not discourage it, some do. It is a natural part of life. That’s all I’m saying.

If God blesses me with children of my own to raise here on earth, I want them to know this.

While you should be strictly mindful of what your child watches, and watch it with them, don’t shelter them from real life. If they bring it into their play, they are probably curious. Keep it age related and appropriate. But don’t discourage. Life, including birth, is an act of God. So why is it so wrong to talk about?

Even as I got older, I would still catch myself feeling like I should not watch this or that, even though there was nothing bad about the medical show.

My Mother always enjoyed shows like that as well. We have not watched tv together in a long time, but she probably still is. My dad? We haven’t either. But he wasn’t.
