What do I believe would make this community better?

What would make any community better?

The reason I didn’t say my community in the title is simple. This applies to all communities, not just mine.

Getting God back in the center, and family first.

Have you ever heard it said, “There is a church on every corner”? Well, that’s great.

Here in America, we are so blessed to have freedom to worship God that we take it for granted. Why do we do that?

It starts at home.

What ever you are allowing into your mind, and the minds of your family, matters. If you are teaching them Godly values, and living it, most likely they will walk in that way.

If you are allowing things of the world to dominate, that speaks for its self.

Yes we all fall, but we must strive. The Bible tells us to train up a child in the way he should go. While he, or she, may depart from it, they will never forget. Prayerfully, they will return before it is too late.

What does this have to do with community you ask? It has to do with every aspect of life.

When we allow God into our life, and allow HIM to lead us, it’s a choice you will never regret. It’s an eternal life choice that defines how we walk, talk, and live while in this world down here. While we do have hardships as Children of God, it is a beautiful life. Once you allow God in, everything else will fall into place.

Awareness in the community.

Who lives around you, what do they need?

We think we are so busy in these times, we bearly have time for our neighbor.

Who is your neighbor? It is not just the person living next door, or accross the highway.

If there is only one deaf person in your small town, that should be taken into consideration. Same goes for visually impaired or any other disabled person. How about elderly who are often forgotten and or overlooked?

What can we do to make community more inclusive. Everyone matters.

Get Bible values and morals back in the public eye, and stand up.

From the moment of conception, that baby is a human life. From the moment a child comes through daycare or school doors, they should be protected and respected. Biblically there is only male and female. That should be black and white. There is no grey area in that. Start back teaching in school, and first at home, what matters. Get the lies and false teaching away from our children. Parents, family, take a stand. If a child, or young adult, is not led in the way of a sport, educational, or career path you want, pray for and encourage them. Give prayerfully clear advice, don’t make them feel like a disgrace.

While this blog post is pretty straight, that’s what we need more of.
