Dear Mr. Trump,
I am writing to you about something that is very difficult for visually impaired individuals in our daily life. It may seem complicated to some to make this change, but to the visually impaired community it is very necessary.
When we purchase things from the store, such as milk or bread or other items, unless someone tells us we have no idea what the date is for expiration. It needs to be a regulation that the date of expiration must somehow be provided in braille with items.
This should be a health concern. There are visually impaired individuals who have homes of their own, and do not always have a visual person on hand. I would expect the ADA would have already done so, but apparently this hasn’t came to the forefront of anyone’s attention. I live it daily and know the struggle. I have to go by smell for things such as milk, And I want to know if bread appears to be OK. I have to FaceTime someone. Lunch meat is a hazard. Sure, you can check and see if it’s slimy or stinks, but why is that fair that we have no access on our own to the expiration date.
I have more things to share that could make daily life much more efficient for the visually impaired community. But as you are very busy, working to make America great again I will end this letter now. Thank you for your time if you have saw this. God bless You, your family, and America.
