Samantha C Sinclair
My name is Samantha. I am a visually impaired young adult.
At three months old I was diagnosed with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia.
God blessed me with acceptance and peace of my disability. You are only impaired if you choose to be.
While there are limitations, we are not helpless.
My dream is to work in emergency services as a 911 Dispatcher. Before you question the true existence of that for me, let me share something. A man whom I’ve met in person, at his job, has dispatched for over twenty years with no vision whatsoever.
In high school, I was blessed to job shadow at my local 911 center. My Grandpa worked as a Dispatcher when I was little.
Job shadowing was not an issue for most.
However, apparently hiring me was different. I was never even given an interview. Same went for other agencies I applied for. There was one place gave me a few interviews, but I was never hired. All though I’ve went through a lot of frustration over this fact,I realize it’s all in God’s perfect timing. I’m grateful for that.
While I can’t be behind the radio, I can write about it.
GOD is the true author of life, and the 14 books HE has allowed me to write. Four of those are Bible Devotionals, while the rest are Christian Fiction.
