Self kindness and scheduling when working independently.

Written by Christian author Samantha C Sinclair

Happy Friday everyone.
I wanted to stop by, and see how everyone is doing in this Christmas season.
While the true meaning is Jesus, and it is a beautiful time, it can be hard.
I just want you to know if you are struggling, you are not alone.
Just remember, while buying gifts and receiving them are nice, that is not the important part.
Something else, for those of us who work independently, we have to plan out schedules. Are you taking off all week, or just part of it? As an author and blogger, some consistency in your work is important. Here is an example of a balanced schedule you might make for yourself.
Plan days off. You might plan to be off Christmas week, New Year’s Day, etc. You can see what I’m doing. Just like planning your work time into your life schedule, it is important to plan some time away from your projects.
I’m thankful to have the most Heavenly boss. I love my LORD and Precious Savior so much.
Also, you may be sick or struggling at times during work days. Build in sick days, and figure out a time you would make those up.
Be realistic when creating this for yourself.
If you have kids who play ballgames when the season is open, you probably wouldn’t want to set your makeup time to ten am on a Saturday morning. Be kind to yourself. But, haveing a schedule to keep you on track is healthy.
If it gets broken, panicking about it is not healthy. Just get back on track when you can, or recreate the schedule to match the newness in your journey.
