Traits of a narcissist

What personality trait in people raises a red flag with you?

Written by author Samantha C Sinclair

When someone cares about you, and when they want control can be hard to sometimes tell apart.

It is important in any relationship, no matter the type, to know the signs.

If your spouse, or boyfriend or girlfriend seems to have these signs, don’t ignore the red flags.

If someone is really concerned about you, they will want what is best for you, and want you to be happy.

Let’s use Jen tells her boyfriend Rob she intends to go back to school. If he is only concerned about how this will impact their relationship such as spending time together, and has no encouragement… Is this healthy for Jen?

Let’s look at a parent child situation. If a mother wants to get back at her ex, and makes her child’s life miserable in doing this, that is healthy for no one.

The person showing these signs is suffering as well as everyone around them. However, they must be willing to admit they have a problem. Second step is admitting to themselves they need help.

Abuse is not only hitting and name calling.

It includes chronic speech of putting a person down.

Let’s take another example into consideration.

Suppose a young bride moves away from her family, or maybe it’s the husband. Let’s say every time that spouse goes to visit his or her family, the spouse mopes about it. Maybe they right out complain, or use pity tactics.

What is that?

A pity tactic is what another uses to guilt another person into or out of something. This will drive a wedge quickly. Chronically attention seeking is healthy for no one.
