Target Acquired by Lynette Eason book review

By Samantha C Sinclair

It was an honor to have been chosen as part of Lynette Eason’s launch team for the release of book two in the Lake City Hero’s series.

As always, Lynette did not disappoint.

Kenzie, the main female in the story serves as a reminder to not give up. Even when it seems all is against you. Her supervisor is in a spot with Kenzie being added to the team. Who could want her off the team so bad they want her dead?

While working together to keep Kenzie alive, convince the guys she belongs on the team, and catch this unknown person what if anything will grow between them? Or, will any hopes of anything more than friendship be lost, if Kenzie even survives? Can she stand the pressure from both family and work? Was her mother really murdered? Why is her dad just now bringing this to light? How is the history of their families connected, and why does it matter now?

If you are ready for a page turning, heart thumping, can’t put it down clean read… this is it.

I also read the first book in the series. We get to check in on those folks as well. I can’t wait for the next one.

If you are wondering about other books by Lynette here are my pointers.

First I’ve not found anything I don’t like by Lynette.

Second by far my favorite is the Extreme Measures series. I have read the entire series through more than once. I think I have read Life Flight, the first book in the series, around five times. It needs to become a movie.

Target Acquired will release August 19. I really believe this would make a good movie.

With the struggle Kenzie has being a female in a male dominated career, and the between a rock and a hard place SWAT Supervisor Garrison is in, this book will find a place in the hearts of both men and women.

Note… I had help from a sweet little girl picking out the photo for this post. She picked this one. When I suggested a different choice, she thought this was it.
