As a young adult nearing 30, I realize the fact is it is true. Your brain probably does really reach full development around age 26.
You begin to better budget, think life through a bit more clearly, and more.
You look at some ideas and choices you have made or went through with in the last five or ten years, and think oh dear younger self.
I once had the idea after reading a book to start a Christian Kids Acting Program. It was a good idea. However I did not have the training nor the money. But ideas just seem reachable when you are young.
I wanted to publish a book with a publishing company. Checking prices, I soon learned free publishing on Amazon was my area of reach at that time. Recently God blessed me to publish The Call For Emily through a traditional Publishing Company and in audio. But waiting upon The Lord is important.
We seem to think we live in a microwave world, and God has better timing than that.
Another thing is balancing out hope and excitement. I have a book signing coming up in September Lord willing. While I’m excited about it, and hope for a large crowd, I realize I have to prepare forthe unexpected. I’m not bouncing off the wall about it, or overly nervous.
Realizing logic doesn’t mean you can’t dream, and shoot to reach those dreams. It just means you grow in understanding.
I hope.
What do you think gets better with age?
