A vehicle accident on May 11, 2024 is followed by a shooting.
Around 7:55 am CT KSP Post 15 received a call from the Adair County Sheriff’s Office. The call was for a request for investigation assistance on Ky. 704 in Adair County. Trooper Houk said preliminary investigation. Showed Gregory Willis and Mark Hatcher were involved in a vehicle collision. A passenger in the Hatcher vehicle was injured. Directly following the wreck, Mr. Willis armed himself with a fire arm and discharged. The shot struck Mr. Hatcher. Both Hatcher and William Feese, Hatcher’s passenger were hospitalized with life threatening injuries. Willis fled the scene before law enforcement could arrive.
An arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Willis. Around 1:56 pm, Willis was located. He was taken into custody by Trooper Smith. He was charged with assault first degree, and lodged in the Adair County Detention Center.
This case remains under investigation by KSP post 15.
