Do you enjoy solving the puzzles, do your children enjoy guessing the letters.Among many families you will hear talk about Wheel Of Fortune, Pat Sajak, and Vanna White. Where do they fit into your family?

Pat Sadjak. You probably know him well, at least on America’s game show. Did you know that once upon a time Sajak’s last name had an extra letter.

Sadjak, a polish sir name was once Sajak’s last name. Born October 26, 1946 in Chicago Illinois to Polish American parents. Sajak was not close to his dad or his dad’s parents. Sajak’s parents divorced when he was young. As the year of Sajak’s retirement has arrived, a new host will take the stage. According to Britannica.com Ryan Seacrest hopes fans will keep watching when he takes over as host. Seacrest stresses that no one can replace Sajak.

Who doesn’t love Vanna Marie Rosich White? What dress will she grace the stage with next. Vanna was born in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on February 18, 1957. Her parents divorced when she was an infant, and she was raised by her mother and stepdad. Vanna is the mother of two children.

Following graduation, White moved to Atlanta. She attended the school of fashion, and worked as a model. In 1979 she ventured to Los Angeles to chase an acting career.

She returned briefly to South Carolina to be with her mother. Tragically she was dying of cancer.

Upon returning to Los Angeles, she found herself landing a few rolls as an actress. However, her big break came in 1982. She was chosen out of 200 applicants to take up her role on wheel of Fortune.

In 2024, the 41st season of wheel of Fortune concluded.

What do you know about the letter board? Here’s a quick look.

The original letter board of wheel of Fortune was transformed several times, and it had its issues. Having to change the letter board by hand, took up quite a bit of time, and caused the filming of one show to take longer than one hour. After Harry Friedman took over as executive producer of wheel of Fortune, he began searching for a way to make the board electronic. After this came to be, there were some questions if White’s job was necessary as the board could be said to automated.

The regular letter board was last used on February 7, 1997. The very first electronic wheel of Fortune letter board was used on February 24, 1997. The board contain 52 touchscreen monitors. The board reduced taping time of the episodes. In season 25 all monitors were replaced with flat screens, otherwise the board remained the same. It wasn’t until season 40 that the board was replaced with a continuous flatscreen, the screen is activated by light R. White only must move her hand in front of the board to display the correct letter.
