I am a 74 year old wife, mother of 2, 6 grandchildren (1 on way) and 3 great grandchildren. I was born with disc degeneration disease. Have Fibromyalgia and have really hurt all my life. But, 2017-2018 I began noticing something different. What, glad you ask!
I began noticing something was not right. I was hurting like I had never hurt before. As days goes by, Progressively gets worse. I begin to have loss of motor in my limbs. I got to where I could not stand as long and had Tremendously trouble stepping up. Got to where had to have help and almost could not walk.
I thought this is bad and time to see what’s going on in 2019. My doctor referred me to a Neurologist in Bowling Green, Ky. Immediately he put me in Hospital for 11 days. Put me through lots of tests and sent them to Mayo Clinic. Through a Spinal Tap they found CIDP.. This disease is called, Chronic inflammatory delaminating polyneuropathy. This is an Auto immune disease. Once they found it, I would go into hospital and spend 5 to 7 days and have infusions. They had mentioned Blood Plasma Exchange and I made choice at this time, to not do this. I am hoping at this time that I am in remission. Also, CIDP is more common in men than women.
If you have any unexplained burning in feet, hands, loss of motor skills in limbs and I must say, hurting tremendously go get HELP.
